Hamilton Declares Old Self "Behind Him" as He Eyes Fresh Start in 2026 Regulation Revolution
Lewis Hamilton enters the 2026 season at a critical juncture in his legendary career, determined to leave behind four years of underperformance and rediscover the form that made him one of F1's all-time greats. The seven-time champion, now competing for Ferrari, faces a pivotal year as the sport embarks on a new regulatory era.

The 2026 campaign represents a watershed moment for Lewis Hamilton's illustrious F1 career.
The legendary seven-time world champion is preparing for the new regulation cycle at a crossroads, with considerable scrutiny surrounding his path forward. The preceding four seasons have conspicuously failed to showcase the exceptional version of Hamilton who earned his place among the sport's elite performers.
A difficult three-year spell with Mercedes preceded his high-profile switch to the Scuderia ahead of the 2025 season. The previous year marked a turning point, though the full extent of Hamilton's resurgence will become apparent during this transformative 2026 season. With the sport transitioning into uncharted regulatory territory, Hamilton is determined to shed the struggles of recent campaigns and reclaim his position at the pinnacle of motorsport.
The challenge ahead is formidable, but for a driver of Hamilton's caliber and experience, the reset presented by new regulations offers both opportunity and motivation to remind the grid—and himself—precisely why he remains one of F1's most formidable competitors.
