In Simple Terms

Article 11B covers the electrical wiring (looms) that connect the main car's electrical system to the power unit, gearbox, and other control systems. These wires can be made in separate sections with connectors joining them together at various points throughout the car.

  • Electrical looms interface the main chassis system with the power unit and transmission systems
  • Main chassis looms can be constructed from separate parts rather than one continuous piece
  • Connectors are allowed to join looms together at connection points to local systems
  • Looms also connect to peripheral control and measurement systems throughout the car

Looms interfacing the main chassis electrical system with PU systems, transmission systems and other peripheral control or measurement systems. Main chassis looms, can be made of separate parts, up to and including the connectors to local PU looms, transmission looms or other local looms for peripheral control or measurement systems.
