In Simple Terms
Front Suspension Members are all the mechanical parts that connect the wheel and steering to the main body of the car. This includes the wishbones, rods, bearings, and other components that help the wheel move up and down while keeping the car stable and allowing the driver to steer.
- Includes all structural links connecting the wheel upright to the car's main chassis (Survival Cell)
- Covers steering components, suspension arms, rods, bearings, and brackets that aren't built into the main body
- Incorporates wheel tethers (safety cables that prevent wheel detachment) and local electronic/electrical components
- Suspension fairings (aerodynamic covers) are included as defined in other regulations
