Power-assisted steering in F1 includes all the components that help the driver steer the car with less physical effort. This covers everything from where the steering column connects to the track rods, plus the hydraulic system, electrical connections, and the rack assembly that actually does the steering work.

  • Covers the entire steering system from the steering column to the track rod connection points
  • Includes hydraulic and electrical components that provide power assistance to reduce steering effort
  • Teams can adjust the level of steering assistance through approved options
  • All components must be properly fastened to the Survival Cell with specified protective covers
