Article 7B
Hydraulic manifold, sensors & control valves
Chapter: null
In Simple Terms
This regulation covers the hydraulic control system components that manage fluid pressure throughout the car, including the main manifold block and all valves that direct fluid flow. Teams must use approved servo valves, solenoid valves, filters, and electronic controllers mounted in specific locations on the car.
- Hydraulic manifold block is the central hub distributing pressurized fluid to various car systems
- Servo valves and solenoid valves precisely control fluid direction and flow rates for steering, braking, and suspension
- Filters remove contaminants to protect sensitive hydraulic components from damage
- All electronic components and mounting brackets must comply with technical specifications
