When the Race Director closes the pit lane for safety reasons, drivers can only enter if they need essential repairs. If a driver enters a closed pit lane for any other reason, they receive a Stop-and-Go Penalty.
- Race Director has authority to close pit entry for safety reasons
- Only essential repairs allow pit entry when pit lane is closed
- Stop-and-Go Penalty is given for entering closed pit lane without valid reason
- This rule prevents unnecessary traffic during dangerous conditions
