In Simple Terms
Teams must tell the FIA how much oil is in each of their car's oil tanks (except the main one) at least one hour before the race starts. This is a technical declaration requirement to ensure teams are following the regulations.
- Oil mass in secondary oil tanks must be declared to the FIA
- Declaration deadline is 1 hour before the scheduled start of technical checks or scrutineering (TTCS)
- The main oil tank is exempt from this declaration requirement
- This is a mandatory technical compliance procedure

The mass of oil contained in each oil tank, with the exception of the main oil tank, must be declared to the FIA one (1) hour before the scheduled start of any TTCS.
