Resumption Procedure Suspended

In Simple Terms

If the track becomes too dangerous to continue racing after the safety car has been deployed, officials will halt the race completely. Red flags go up everywhere, lights flash on the gantry, and all cars must immediately head to the pit lane to stop.

  • Used when track conditions deteriorate too much to safely restart racing during a safety car period
  • Red flags displayed at all marshal posts signal drivers to stop immediately
  • Orange lights on the start gantry illuminate to indicate the procedure is in effect
  • All cars must proceed directly to the pit lane without attempting to continue racing

If track conditions are considered unsuitable to resume competition after laps behind the safety car have commenced, the message 'RESUMPTION PROCEDURE SUSPENDED' will be sent. Red flags will be shown at all marshal posts and the orange lights on the start gantry will be illuminated. All Cars must enter the Pit Lane.
