Car Moved from Grid Cannot Return

In Simple Terms
If a car leaves its grid position before the formation lap starts (usually to go to the pit lane or garage for repairs), it cannot return to the grid. The car must start from the pit lane instead.
- Cars must stay on the grid once positioned according to the starting order
- If a car leaves the grid early, it forfeits its grid position
- The car can only rejoin the race from the pit lane
- This applies only before the formation lap begins

Any car, having stopped on the grid in accordance with Article B5.2.3, that is moved from the grid to the Pit Lane Inner Lane or to the Competitors designated garage area prior to the start of the formation lap may not be returned to the grid prior to the start of the TTCS.
