In Simple Terms
F1 cars have maximum width limits for their suspension components. The front suspension must stay within 603mm from the centerline, and the rear suspension must stay within 525mm from the centerline when the car enters the technical inspection area after the race.
- Front wheel suspension cannot extend beyond 603mm (Y-coordinate) from the car's centerline
- Rear wheel suspension cannot extend beyond 525mm (Y-coordinate) from the car's centerline
- These measurements are checked when the car enters Parc Fermé, the controlled area after the race
- Suspension width regulations ensure all cars remain within consistent dimensional boundaries
