Article C10.4.1
Inboard Suspension Rockers
Chapter: C10
In Simple Terms
Each wheel's suspension must use exactly one rocker arm connected to the car's main body. This rocker pivots on a fixed point and has no extra movement—it's a simple mechanical lever that transfers suspension forces from the wheel to the car's suspension system.
- Only ONE rocker per wheel is allowed
- The rocker must be rigidly attached to the sprung mass (main car body)
- It rotates about a single fixed axis with no additional degrees of freedom
- Connection to the wheel must be singular and outboard (on the outside)
Official FIA Text
Inboard suspensions must only be actuated via single rocker per wheel with single outboard connection. Rocker is mechanical device rigidly supported on Sprung Mass, rotating about fixed axis with no other relative degree of freedom.
