In Simple Terms
Every F1 car must have sensors that monitor tire pressure and temperature during the race. These sensors are supplied by an official FIA-approved manufacturer and must be installed in a specific way according to FIA technical documents.
- TPMS (Tire Pressure and Temperature Monitoring System) sensors are mandatory on all F1 cars
- Sensors must be from an FIA-designated supplier only
- Installation must follow the exact specifications in FIA technical document C024
- These sensors help teams and officials monitor tire conditions throughout the race

All cars must be fitted with tyre pressure and temperature monitoring sensors manufactured by FIA designated supplier. TPMS sensor must be mounted per FIA-F1-DOC-C024.
