In Simple Terms
Every F1 car must have a headrest made of three padded sections that can be removed together as one unit. The padding must be made from material suitable for the temperature conditions and covered with a special laminate called PL-HEADREST to protect the driver's head.
- Three separate padding areas arranged to work together as a single removable unit
- Material must be appropriate for the ambient air temperature conditions
- All padding must be covered with laminate PL-HEADREST specification
- The headrest must be removable from the car as one complete part

All cars must be equipped with three areas of padding for the driver's head which are so arranged that they can be removed from the car as a single part and are made from material suitable for the relevant ambient air temperature. Padding must be covered with laminate PL−HEADREST.
