Front Floor Structure
Chapter: C12
In Simple Terms
Cars must have a protective structure called the Front Floor Structure mounted underneath the main safety cell. This part is designed to absorb impact energy if the car hits the ground, and it should only break or deform during such collisions, not during normal racing.
- The Front Floor Structure is a mandatory safety component fitted below the Survival Cell
- It must be securely attached to the Survival Cell to function properly
- It's engineered to deform only during ground impacts, protecting the driver and car
- It helps dissipate energy from crashes and prevent the chassis from being damaged
