In Simple Terms
Teams can only use officially approved fuel in their engines. The fuel injectors must spray only this sanctioned fuel into the combustion chamber. This rule ensures all teams use the same quality fuel and prevents performance advantages through fuel manipulation.
- Only FIA-approved fuel is permitted in F1 engines
- Fuel injectors must deliver exclusively sanctioned fuel to the combustion chamber
- Rule prevents teams from using alternative or modified fuels for competitive advantage
- Applies to all fuel delivery systems during competition
