Article C17.3.5
SSC Information Restrictions
Chapter: C17
In Simple Terms
F1 teams are not allowed to share secrets about their single-seater car (SSC) performance or technical methods with other teams, and they also can't receive such information from competitors. This applies whether the sharing happens directly (face-to-face) or indirectly (through third parties).
- Teams cannot share performance-enhancing information or technical methodologies with rival teams
- The rule applies to both giving and receiving information, directly or indirectly
- Violations protect competitive integrity and prevent unfair advantages from shared knowledge
- This prevents collusion between teams that could undermine fair competition
Official FIA Text
