In Simple Terms

When teams submit their car specifications (OSC/OSCNT documents), if they include parts or technology from other suppliers, they must declare it. Other teams can only use these supplier parts if they get written permission from the supplier. Some sensitive details can be kept private as long as the supplier is identified.

  • Teams must declare any third-party proprietary information when submitting car specifications
  • Other teams need written approval from suppliers before using their technology or parts
  • Sensitive technical details can be redacted while keeping supplier identification and installation info visible

If OSC or OSCNT contains third party proprietary information, must be declared when uploading. Other teams using specification must have third party written approval. Sensitive information may be removed with supplier reference and installation information.
