Article C17.5.9
OSC Supply Between Teams
Chapter: C17
In Simple Terms
F1 teams are allowed to supply Onboard Systems Components (OSCs) to other teams, but only if they're using the exact same specification. These supplies are controlled by the Technical Regulations Committee rules, though those rules won't prevent teams from meeting their OSC obligations.
- Teams can share OSCs with other teams if the components are identical in specification
- OSC supply arrangements are governed by Article C17.4 TRC (Technical Regulations Committee) provisions
- TRC restrictions don't override a team's responsibility to have functioning OSC systems
- This rule prevents artificial component shortages while maintaining technical standardization
Official FIA Text
OSCs may be provided from one F1 Team to another if same specification used by Supplying Team. Governed by Article C17.4 TRC provisions but restrictions do not prevent OSC obligations compliance.
