Business as Usual Exception

Chapter: C18

In Simple Terms

This rule allows companies and associates of F1 teams to conduct normal business activities like buying other companies or making investments that have nothing to do with Formula 1 without breaking the regulations. Basically, teams and their owners can still do regular business deals outside of F1.

  • Teams and their associates can conduct normal mergers and acquisitions without F1 restrictions
  • Business investments unrelated to Formula 1 are permitted
  • This exception prevents F1 regulations from interfering with legitimate business operations
  • Only business activities relevant to Formula 1 are restricted under Article C18
