In Simple Terms
Listed Power Unit Components (LPUC) are specific engine parts that must be designed and manufactured by a single F1 power unit manufacturer. These components are controlled entirely by that manufacturer and cannot be outsourced to other suppliers.
- LPUC must be owned and controlled by a single power unit manufacturer
- Design and manufacturing intellectual property belongs exclusively to that manufacturer
- These components cannot be supplied by external agents or competitors
- Ensures fair competition and prevents manufacturers from sharing critical engine technology
