In Simple Terms
The State of Deployment is the period during which a driver actively adjusts their car's bodywork away from its normal position (like adjustable wings or flaps) using a control in the cockpit, monitored by the car's computer system. It ends once the bodywork returns to its standard position.
- Triggered by direct driver input through a cockpit control
- The FIA Standard ECU monitors and controls the adjustment
- Refers to temporary changes from the Corner Mode Position
- Ends when bodywork returns to its original Corner Mode Position

The State of Deployment starts when adjustment of Bodywork away from its Corner Mode Position has been commanded by direct driver input and controlled by the FIA Standard ECU, and ends when bodywork has returned to the same Corner Mode Position.
