Article C3.10.7
Front Wing Pylon
Chapter: C3
In Simple Terms
The front wing pylons (the support structures connecting the wing to the car) must fit within a specific 3D zone and have strict size limits. At any height on the car, the pylon can't exceed 6000 mm² in area and must be no thicker than 35mm when measured side-to-side.
- Pylons must stay entirely within the designated RV-FW-PYLON zone to maintain aerodynamic consistency
- Maximum cross-sectional area of 6000 mm² prevents excessively large support structures
- 35mm thickness limit (Y-direction) ensures pylons remain sleek and minimize aerodynamic interference
Official FIA Text
Front Wing Pylon Bodywork must lie in its entirety within RV-FW-PYLON. In any Z-Plane, must have total area no greater than 6000 mm2 and section thickness no more than 35mm when measured in the Y direction.
