Article C3.12.4
Front Wing Bodywork to Nose Bodywork Assembly
Chapter: C3
In Simple Terms
The front wing and nose of an F1 car must fit together smoothly and neatly. Teams can use small rounded corners (up to 25mm) where they meet, but the front wing can't overlap or intersect with the nose except in specific allowed areas.
- Front wing bodywork and nose bodywork must be properly aligned and trimmed to each other
- Fillet radius (rounded corners) cannot exceed 25mm at the junction between components
- Front wing bodywork cannot intersect or overlap with nose bodywork except in FIA-specified locations
- This rule ensures clean aerodynamic design and prevents unfair advantages from gap manipulation
Official FIA Text
