Article C3.15.3
Rear Drum Deflector to Rear Outboard Wheel
Chapter: C3
In Simple Terms
Teams must blend the rear wheel, drum deflector, and support stay together into one smooth, connected piece called the Rear Wheel Bodywork Assembly. They can use small rounded edges (up to 10mm radius) where parts meet, but the final result must form a single, unified structure with no separate components.
- The rear wheel, drum deflector, and stay must be combined into one integrated assembly
- Only fillet radii (rounded edges) up to 10mm are permitted at connection points
- The assembly must be 'simply connected' - forming a single, continuous volume with no separate cavities or disconnected sections
- This assembly is specifically called the Rear Wheel Bodywork Assembly and is a defined component in the regulations
