Cockpit Cooling Aperture
Chapter: C3
In Simple Terms
Teams can have a small opening in the cockpit area to cool the driver, but it's limited to 3000mm² in size and must be positioned in a specific location on the car's chassis. All air flowing through this opening must go directly into the survival cell (the driver's protective compartment).
- Maximum cockpit cooling aperture size is 3000mm²
- Opening must be located between specific X-axis coordinates (XA300 < X < XC-950) on the forward chassis
- Air can only flow inward through the aperture (influx only)
- All incoming air must be directed into the survival cell for driver safety
