In Simple Terms
Teams are allowed one small opening in the floor of their car, located in a specific area, that can only allow air to flow upward into the car. This opening cannot be larger than a postcard and must be positioned in the front portion of the floor.
- Maximum one auxiliary aperture permitted per car
- Opening limited to 1500mm² (roughly the size of a postcard)
- One-way flow only - air can only enter the car, not exit
- Must be located in the front half of the floor, above a minimum height threshold
