In Simple Terms
The ES Main Enclosure is essentially the outer shell or container of a car's energy recovery system that holds all the necessary ERS components together. It must form a complete, sealed box and fit within a specific space defined by F1 regulations.
- External structure that must enclose all required ERS elements
- Must fit within the ERS Reference Volume boundaries
- Can be made of multiple rigid parts welded or bonded together to form one continuous sealed box
- Ensures all energy recovery components are properly contained and protected
