In Simple Terms
F1 teams are not allowed to use active control valves that inject oil or other substances into the engine's intake air system. This rule prevents teams from using oil injection as a performance enhancement technique, keeping the sport fair and standardized.
- Active control valves between the power unit and engine intake air are completely banned
- This prohibition prevents oil injection systems that could artificially boost engine performance
- The rule applies to any part of the power unit connecting to intake air
- Teams must use passive fuel and air systems only without active injection controls
