In Simple Terms
F1 fuel lines must be installed so that if they leak, the fuel cannot collect in dangerous places on the car. This is a safety rule to prevent fuel from pooling where it could cause fires or other hazards during a race.
- Fuel lines must be fitted to prevent fuel accumulation in unsafe locations
- Leakage protection is a critical safety requirement for all fuel system components
- Proper installation and routing of fuel lines is mandatory for all cars
- Safety inspection of fuel line placement is part of technical scrutineering
