In Simple Terms
F1 cars are not allowed to have any pipes carrying oil or coolant running through the cockpit area where the driver sits. This safety rule ensures the driver won't be exposed to hot fluids or leaks that could cause injury.
- No oil lines can pass through the cockpit
- No coolant lines can pass through the cockpit
- This protects the driver from exposure to hot fluids and potential burns
- Lines must be routed through other areas of the car
