Electronic units presentation

Chapter: C8

In Simple Terms

Before each race, teams must show the FIA all their electronic control units that have programmable computers in them. This allows the FIA to identify and track these components to ensure they meet F1 regulations.

  • All programmable electronic units must be presented to the FIA before each competition
  • This applies to units intended for use during the race
  • The FIA uses this process to identify and verify electronic components
  • Presentation is required at every competition, not just once per season
Official FIA Text
