CFO Clarification Requests

Teams can ask the Cost Cap Administration (the body that oversees F1 spending rules) to explain how the financial regulations work or what specific rules mean. The administration must provide a written answer to these clarification questions.

  • Teams can formally request written clarifications about the Financial Regulations through their CFO
  • The Cost Cap Administration is required to respond in writing to all clarification requests
  • This process helps ensure teams understand and correctly interpret the complex cost cap rules
  • Requests must come from the team's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and be submitted in writing

The CFO of an F1 Team may submit a written request to the Cost Cap Administration to clarify the operation or interpretation of these Financial Regulations. The Cost Cap Administration will respond in writing to any such request.
