When the Cost Cap Administration believes a team has broken the spending rules, they hand the case over to the FIA's legal team to take charge. The FIA Legal department then manages everything from that point forward, with help from the Cost Cap Administration if needed.

• FIA Legal takes over management of cost cap violation cases from the Cost Cap Administration
• This ensures independent legal oversight of serious cost cap breaches
• The Cost Cap Administration continues to assist but no longer leads the case
• This applies specifically when cases are referred to the Cost Cap Adjudication Panel
