The McLaren driver has wasted little time in leaving his Australian Grand Prix mishap in the rear-view mirror as the paddock prepares for the Chinese Grand Prix.

Rather than dwell on what he described as an embarrassing moment at his home race, Piastri has adopted a forward-looking mindset heading into the Asian leg of the 2026 season. The incident, which resulted in a crash during the opening round in Australia, could have derailed his confidence, but the young talent appears determined to demonstrate his resilience at the next opportunity.

With the focus now shifting to China, Piastri will be keen to deliver a performance that helps erase the disappointment from Melbourne and establish momentum for the races ahead.
