The FIA has decided not to take further action against Kimi Antonelli after scrutinizing his actions during sprint qualifying at the Chinese Grand Prix, where his presence on track appeared to disrupt Lando Norris's qualifying effort.

The incident unfolded at Turn 1 when Antonelli, having just departed the pit lane, was traveling at a reduced pace along the inside of the corner. This caused the McLaren driver to lift off and abort what he believed would have been a strong qualifying lap. Over the radio, Norris expressed his frustration to his team, indicating that he had been preparing to deliver a competitive push on that particular run.

Despite the on-track interference, stewards concluded there were insufficient grounds for any penalty or further investigation into the matter. Antonelli, driving for Mercedes, therefore retains his qualifying position without sanction from the governing body.
