Double Retirement Before Lights Out: McLaren's Norris and Piastri Sidelined at Chinese GP
Both McLaren drivers were forced to withdraw from the Chinese Grand Prix before the race even commenced due to technical problems identified on their vehicles. The simultaneous issues prevented Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri from taking their positions on the grid.

A frustrating day unfolded for McLaren at the Chinese Grand Prix as the team was forced to pull both of its drivers from the starting lineup due to mechanical concerns.
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, piloting McLaren's entries, encountered problems with their respective machines that were discovered during pre-race preparations. The issues proved insurmountable with the time remaining before the formation lap, leaving the team with no option but to withdraw both vehicles from competition.
The situation represented a significant setback for the Woking-based outfit, which saw its entire driver pairing unable to contest the race. McLaren's mechanics were unable to resolve the troubles in time to get either car ready for the start of proceedings.
